Elon Musk's plan to colonize Mars; How well is it going in 2020?

I'm sure most of us know who Elon Musk is, he is the founder of spaceX, which designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft.

                        Elon Musk

Elon Musk is also the CEO and Project architect for Telsa motors. you might have come across Elon Musk's plan to colonize Mars in recent years . if not well now you know. but how well is his plan going in 2020? let's find out. Elon Musk has always been working on new ways to help humanity and he also made alot of money doing that as he is one of the richest men in the world “Most people, when they make a lot of money don’t want to risk it,” he says. “For me it was never about money, but solving problems for the future of humanity.” Elon Musk and his brothers sold Zip2, which was a company that provided and licensed online city guide software to newspapers; they sold Zip2 to Compaq Computers in 1999 for US$307 million and he has not stopped trying to help humanity since then. Elon Musk said he plans to colonise Mars because he wants to save humanity. Musk has repeatedly said he believes humanity must colonise Mars to save itself from extinction.

                  Mars, the red planet

Although, there are no actual threat yet that may cause human extinction, I think it's wise that Elon Musk is starting to find an alternative to Earth now, instead of waiting till a threat shows up first. He believes setting up a permanent outpost on a new world—and ideally, several other new worlds—safeguards the species and ensures it will survive any calamity that might devastate Earth, whether it’s an asteroid, world war 3, killer robots, irreversible climate change, or some other unpredictable event.
Musk stated in a 2011 interview that he hopes to send humans to Mars's surface within 10–20 years, and in late 2012 he stated that he envisioned a Mars colony of tens of thousands with the first colonists arriving no earlier than the middle of the 2020s. Now, it's 2020 and Elon Musks said a colony of tens of thousands arriving no earlier than the middle of the 2020s. is it still possible?
well, The launch vehicle was initially mentioned in public discussions by SpaceX CEO Elon Muskin 2012 as part of a description of the company's overall Mars system architecture, then known as "Mars Colonial Transporter" (MCT). By August 2014, media sources speculated that the initial flight test of the Raptor-driven super-heavy launch vehicle could occur as early as this year(2020), in order to fully test the engines under orbital spaceflight conditions, Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket (collectively referred to as Starship) represent a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond. Starship will be the world's most powerful launch vehicle.
Earlier this year, SpaceX pledged to advance its space exploration efforts by revealing the identity of its first paying tourist who would take a trip around the moon. In 2023, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and six to eight artists are tentatively scheduled to fly to the moon on a week-long trip. what an amazing trip that would be, just to stare into the galaxy from the moon with zero gravity. Imagine taking a pee on the moon and it floats back upwards, that would be crazy. I have always imagined going to space and what it would feel like; there are so many things I want to try and yes, that includes peeing on the moon. I wanted to be the first man to pee on the moon when I was a kid unfortunately, American space hero, Buzz Aldrin shared the dreams with me as he was the first man to pee on the moon back on July 20th, 1969.
Buzz Aldrin, the first man to                                  pee on the moon.

Elon Musk has not given up on his plan to colonize mars as he plans to invent a spaceX starship every 72 hours in order to transport humans to mars, this is great news for people like me who want to explore space and not like to die in world war 3 when North Korea decides to detonate all their nuclear bombs but the cost of the ticket to mars is $10 billion. even if I'm as rich as Elon Musk who is worth US$32 billion according Forbes, I'm not sure I would pay to US$10 billion to go to Mars unless the nuclear bomb had already been detonated then I would no choice. besides, I don't think I would want to be one of first people to go Mars; I would rather wait until the first people that travel to Mars stay alive for at least 6 months then I might buy a ticket. However, Elon Musk doesn't care if I'm going to get a ticket or not. he shows that he is not going to stop anytime soon as he calls for meeting with his team in SpaceX factory, Texas on Sunday, February 23 by 1am, yes 1am in the morning when most Americans are in bed sleeping or watching netflix but not Elon Musk's team. he wanted to know why things were not going as fast as he wanted, we all know Elon Musk really wants to go to Mars and he is not getting any younger. he envisioned a Mars colony of tens of thousands with the first colonists arriving no earlier than the middle of the 2020s and it's already 2020! After the meeting, the spaceX factory in Texas added 252 employees; they doubled the workforce in order make things happen as Elon Musk wants them to. A year ago, perhaps a dozen or so people worked on site. Soon, the Texas factory will probably be SpaceX’s largest location outside of its headquarters in Hawthorne, California.

Elon Musk will spend money to go to Mars as fast as possible and in South Texas he is proving it. In a matter of weeks, SpaceX has built a small city down here by the Rio Grande River. It is all rather astonishing. And maybe, just maybe, this new Muskville really will serve as a launch pad to the first city on Mars.
