Pranks these days are all the same, I'm getting bored and you might be too. let's up the game by adding a lil bit of tech, this is a prank nobody has done before. I'm going to show you how to hack your friend's house and give him/her the biggest scare of his/her life. i advice you do this prank at night for a better reaction. since he/she is your friend, you will have to find a way to make your friend go out for at least an hour while you are at his/her house. this might be challenging. you can make your friend stay out that long by telling him/her to help you buy something that's in a far location(at least an hour drive) because you are too tired to go that far. this should work. if it does, you just completed the hardest part of this arduino prank.

Light flicking on and off
if horror movies have taught me anything; it is that when the lights start flicking on and off, something scary is about to happen. you can have full control over the bulbs at your friend's place using an ardruino and 5v relay module, you have to be very careful when doing this as you would be dealing with high voltage, make sure the bulb is turned off. follow the circuit diagram below.

also use this code for the Ardruino:

scary sounds
now this part is the easiest but it's going to cause alot more fear than other things I'm going to mention. you can get cheap little speakers from Amazon or around you, connect it through bluetooth or wifi to your laptop or mobile phone, depending on how far you want to stay during the prank. there are several scary sounds you can download by just searching Google and youtube.

pick the one that suits your standard. now I advice you have more than one speaker. place them in different rooms like bathroom and kitchen so they can play at different intervals to make your friend's heart skip a beat. When your friend hears a scary laughter or any other sound in the kitchen, you wait a bit then play another scary sound through the other speaker in another room. your friend would race for the door! or your friend might open the room to see what's making the sound; your friend still won't know where the noise is coming from unless you didn't hide speakers well so make sure you do. anytime he opens a room, play the scary sound in the other room. this should get to your friend.

locking the door
when your friend tries to open the door, locking the door will definitely make your friend scream in fear. you can't stand outside in order to lock the door because you don't have your friend's key and stealing the key would make this prank more complicated instead you can use an ardruino, Bluetooth module and servos so you lock/unlock his door using Bluetooth there is a guide on YouTube to that will teach you that, follow this link to watch how :YouTube video

install spy Camera
get a spy camera with bluetooth or wifi so you can easily connect to your laptop; this is useful so you can easily watch your friend so you don't make any mistakes and also you can use this to record the footage of the whole prank. also hide it properly so your friend doesn't see it.

Get a suitable position
look for a suitable position so that all the gadgets are in range, test all the gadgets through your laptop before your friend gets back.

The Full story
I advice you do this prank at night for a better reaction. Let's call your friend "Princess". When Princess gets back from buying the stuff "you were too tired to go get"(wink), you must have set everything up. you thank her and maybe you guys talk for a while then you tell her you are leaving; you both exchange goodbyes as she locks the door behind you then you go to the suitable position you found earlier and start to mess with Princess, you turn on your spy camera and you see Princess laying on the bed using her phone. it's time! you start with the lights. the lights begin to flick on and off and Princess gets a little scared, as Princess is about to stand up, you play a little scary chuckle through the speaker in the kitchen. she heard it and she looks even more scared so you play it one more time but this time it's from the bathroom. Princess takes a deep breath(you can feel her fear) and asks "hello, who is there?" but there is no response then you play a scarier sound from the kitchen and bathroom simultaneously saying "I want your Soul!" the sound is very loud this time and Princess screams and races for door, the flicking lights stop as the bulb goes off and the room is totally dark; the sound continues repeatedly from the kitchen and bathroom. Princess screams and struggles to insert the key into door; she manages to do so then you lock the door using your laptop, she pulls and pulls the door but it can't open, she continues to scream for a while then you open the door for her with laughter and tell her it's a prank. The end!
